Corporate Flu Vouchers: The Complete Guide for Employers (2026/27)

Last Updated: June 27, 2026

If you are responsible for your company’s flu programme, corporate flu vouchers are often the simplest way to protect a workforce spread across different offices, sites, or working from home. Each employee gets a voucher, books a slot at a local pharmacy, and has their flu jab at no cost to them. There is no clinic to organise, and nobody is left out because they were not in the office that day.
At FluClinic2You, we are a pharmacist-led corporate flu vaccination service. We provide both on-site workplace clinics and a nationwide flu voucher programme, and we are founded and run by pharmacists — Paras, Ronak and Sachin. This guide explains how corporate flu vouchers work, how ours are priced, and how they compare to the other main option employers consider.

What are corporate flu vouchers?
Corporate flu vouchers are digital codes an employer buys and distributes to staff. Each employee uses their voucher to book a flu vaccination at a participating pharmacy, and the employer covers the cost rather than the individual.
They suit businesses with remote, hybrid or multi-site teams, where getting everyone to a single on-site clinic is not practical. They are also low-effort for the employer: once the vouchers are sent out, employees arrange their own appointments at a time and place that works for them.

How FluClinic2You flu vouchers work
Our voucher programme is built to be simple for employees and low-admin for you, with a few features we have developed specifically for the workplace:
- Nationwide access. Vouchers are accepted at over 2,000 pharmacies across the UK, so employees can use one close to home or work.
- Quick and local for employees. Booking is fast, and appointments are at a local pharmacy rather than a single clinic everyone has to travel to.
- Instant, minimal admin. Digital vouchers can be distributed to your whole team in one go, so there is very little for HR to manage.
- One voucher per email. Each voucher is tied to a single email address, which prevents vouchers being shared or misused.
- Optional domain locking. If you want, we can lock vouchers so only your company email addresses can access them.
- Long redemption window. Employees get plenty of time to book and redeem, so uptake is not lost to a tight deadline.
- A fallback for everyone. For staff without email access, we can send vouchers to a generic address for printing, or provide paper vouchers.

Two ways to buy: pre-pay or pay-per-activation
This is where FluClinic2You differs from most providers. You can buy vouchers in one of two ways, depending on how predictable your uptake is.
Pre-pay vouchers (buy in bulk). You purchase a batch upfront, and the more you buy, the lower the price per voucher:
- 1–9 vouchers: £23 each
- 10–999 vouchers: £11.50 each
- 1,000+ vouchers: £10.50 each
Pre-pay is the cheapest option per voucher, but you pay for every voucher whether or not it is redeemed.
Pay-per-activation (PPA): £18.95 per voucher, minimum order 25. With PPA you set the programme up, but you only pay for the vouchers your employees actually redeem. If you order for 100 people and 60 use theirs, you pay for 60. The price per voucher is higher, but you never pay for a vaccine that was not given.
If your uptake is high and predictable, pre-pay is the cheapest route. If it is unpredictable — or you are running a flu programme for the first time — pay-per-activation removes the risk of paying for vouchers nobody uses. Pay-per-activation is something most providers, including Boots, do not offer.
Say you set up vouchers for 100 staff. At 60% uptake, pay-per-activation (60 × £18.95 = £1,137) costs about the same as buying 100 pre-pay vouchers (£1,150). But at 40% uptake, PPA costs just £758 — a saving of nearly £400. Above roughly 60% uptake, the bulk pre-pay price wins. So the single number that decides the cheaper model is your expected uptake.

How FluClinic2You compares to Boots
Boots is the name most employers think of first, and for good reason: it is a familiar high-street brand with an easy online ordering system and a large retail network. For some businesses, that recognisability is reassuring.
The practical differences come down to flexibility. Boots offers a voucher-only service, with vouchers redeemable at its own Boots pharmacies (over 1,600 stores). The vouchers are pre-pay, and once purchased they are non-refundable. There is no on-site clinic option, and no pay-per-activation.
FluClinic2You offers more routes to the same goal: on-site clinics and vouchers, vouchers redeemable at over 2,000 pharmacies across multiple chains rather than one, and the pay-per-activation option so you are not locked into paying for unused vouchers. And because we are pharmacist-led, there is always a pharmacist behind the service.
| FluClinic2You | Boots | |
|---|---|---|
| On-site clinics + vouchers | ✔ Both | ✘ Vouchers only |
| Pay-per-activation (pay only for what’s used) | ✔ Yes | ✘ No |
| Voucher network | 2,000+ pharmacies (multiple chains) | 1,600+ Boots stores |
| Refund on unused vouchers | ✔ PPA: nothing to refund | ✘ Non-refundable |
| Pharmacist-led service | ✔ Yes | Pharmacy staff |

Why flu vouchers matter more in 2026/27
There is a new reason to care about uptake this year. Since 6 April 2026, the Employment Rights Act 2025 has changed Statutory Sick Pay. SSP is now payable from the first day of sickness — the three waiting days are gone — and the lower earnings limit has been removed, bringing around 1.3 million more workers into eligibility. SSP is paid at £123.25 per week or 80% of normal earnings, whichever is lower.
In short, flu-related absence now costs employers from day one. That raises the value of getting as many of your people vaccinated as possible — and a convenient voucher staff can redeem locally is one of the most effective ways to lift uptake.
Before April 2026, the first three days of any sickness absence cost the employer nothing in SSP. Now they do — from day one, for far more of your workforce. Every flu case a vaccine could have prevented is now a cost that starts immediately, which is exactly why lifting uptake matters more this season than last.

A quick note on tax
Workplace flu vaccinations are usually treated as a tax-exempt “trivial benefit,” so they typically do not create a benefit-in-kind charge for employees. It is always worth confirming the current position with your accountant for your specific circumstances.
Transparent pricing, and how to get started
We publish our voucher pricing so you can plan a budget without chasing a quote:
- Pre-pay: £23 (1–9), £11.50 (10–999), or £10.50 per voucher (1,000+)
- Pay-per-activation: £18.95 per redeemed voucher (minimum order 25)
On-site clinics are quoted individually based on your team size and locations. There is no minimum headcount, and most programmes are set up within days.

Frequently asked questions
What are corporate flu vouchers?
They are digital vouchers an employer buys and gives to staff, who then redeem them for a flu vaccination at a participating pharmacy at no cost to themselves. They are ideal for remote, hybrid or multi-site teams.
How much do FluClinic2You flu vouchers cost?
Pre-pay vouchers are £23 (1–9), £11.50 (10–999) or £10.50 (1,000+) each. Pay-per-activation vouchers are £18.95 each with a minimum order of 25, and you only pay for the ones redeemed.
What is pay-per-activation?
It means you only pay for vouchers your employees actually use. You set the programme up for your whole team, but unused vouchers cost you nothing — useful when uptake is hard to predict.
Where can employees redeem their voucher?
At over 2,000 participating pharmacies across the UK, so most people can find one near home or work.
What happens to unused vouchers?
With pay-per-activation, unused vouchers simply cost nothing. With pre-pay vouchers you have paid upfront, so it is worth choosing the model that matches your expected uptake.
Can I stop vouchers being misused?
Yes. Each voucher is tied to a single email address, and we can optionally lock vouchers to your company’s email domain so only your staff can access them.
Do vouchers work for remote or multi-site teams?
Yes — that is one of their main strengths. Employees redeem locally wherever they are, and we can pair vouchers with an on-site clinic at your main office if you want both.
Questions to ask any provider before you commit
Whichever provider you are weighing up, these are the questions worth asking up front:
- What happens to vouchers my employees do not redeem — do I pay regardless?
- Can I pay only for what is used, or is it pre-pay only?
- Where can vouchers be redeemed — one chain, or pharmacies nationwide?
- Can one provider cover both on-site clinics and vouchers?
- How long do employees have to redeem before vouchers expire?
- Can you stop vouchers being shared or misused?
- Is there a minimum headcount?
